On 05/24/2026 at approximately 11:50 PM the Lanett Police Department was notified of two persons who had been injured by gun fire in the 3000 block of 18th Ave SW. Upon arrival one victim was located at the scene and the other was located in the 1500 block of South 8th Ave. Medical aid was immediately given to both subjects before they were transported to an area hospital.
An investigation into the incident immediately began by the Lanett Police Department. This resulted in arrest warrants being issued for Allen Matorion Foster of Lanett and Jeremiah Maurice McGilberry also of Lanett.
At the time of this press release both are at large. The Lanett Police Department request that any persons with information pertaining to the incident and/or the whereabouts of Foster or McGilberry contact the Lanett Police Department at 334-644-5236 or Central Alabama Crime Stoppers at 334-215-STOP(7867).
The Lanett Police Department has been assisted throughout this investigation be the Valley Police Department and the Chambers County Sheriff’s Office.
