March 26, 1943 ~ May 3, 2026 (age 83)

Joette Watson Williams, known lovingly to family and friends as Joette, passed away on May 3, 2026, at the age of 83. Born on March 26, 1943.

Joette lived a life marked by quiet strength, devotion, and grace. She was a woman whose presence brought comfort to those around her, and whose generous and selfless spirit touched everyone who had the privilege of knowing her. Her family and friends will remember her as a steady and caring presence whose kindness was felt deeply and often.

 She devoted much of her life to her home and family as a homemaker, a role she embraced with pride and wholehearted commitment. She understood the value of creating a welcoming home and nurturing the people she loved. Her days were filled with care, patience, and purpose, and she found joy in the simple but meaningful acts that made life better for those around her. She was especially gifted in sewing and quilting, hobbies that reflected both her creativity and her attention to detail. Through her hands, she created pieces that were not only beautiful but also filled with love and intention.

She is preceded in death by her sister, as well as her parents, Dallas Thomas Watson, Sr. and Clara Ragland Watson. Joette is survived by her husband, Norman Williams; her sons, Michael Williams and Anthony Williams; her daughter, Bonita Connor; her brother, Dallas Thomas Watson, Jr.; and her grandchildren, Eric Dunn, Zachary Williams, and Alexander Williams.

The bonds she shared with her family were among the greatest treasures of her life, and she took great pride in the people she helped raise, encourage, and support.

Though she is no longer physically present, Joette’s influence will continue to be felt in the hearts of her loved ones. Her life was a testament to faithfulness, humility, and love. She will be deeply missed and forever cherished by her family and all who were blessed to know her.

A funeral service for Joette will be held, Thursday, May 7, 2026, in the Chapel of Johnson Brown-Service Funeral Home at 11:00 A.M. (EST).

Visitation will be held, Thursday, May 7, 2026, from 10:00 A.M. (EST) until the hour of service.

Interment will be held in LaFayette Cemetery in LaFayette, Alabama, immediately following the service.
