Ms. Monica Lashae Davis, 49 of Lanett, AL, passed away on Monday, March 30, 2026.

Public Visitation will be held on Friday, April 3, 2026, from 12:00 PM until 6:00 PM CST at Silmon-Seroyer Funeral Home Chapel in LaFayette.

Ms. Davis will lie in repose at the church one hour before the funeral service.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, April 4, 2026, 9:30 AM CST at Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church in LaFayette, AL, Rev. Dr. Melvin Owens, Pastor & Eulogist, Rev. Gary L. Dixon, Officiating.

Burial will follow in Essie J. Handy Cemetery in LaFayette.

Ms. Davis leaves behind to cherish her memories: her loving fiancé, Ron O’Neal Hill, her bonus mom, Elizabeth Leverette of Valley, AL, her sisters, Tammy Filmore (Jason) North Augusta, SC, Stephanie Abner, Kimberly Davis, Shannon Davis Bell, Shelia Leverette, and Nakeshia Griffin, all of Lafayette, AL. She also leaves her bonus siblings, Kamia Davidson (Louis), David Brooks and Peter Brooks.

Affectionally known as the Rich Auntie, she leaves her lasting memories to her nieces and nephews: Kierra Jones (Douglas Jr.) and Quentavious Whitlow (Jhona) of Opelika, AL, RaQuazious Boyd (Erin) and Kissimmee Abner of Valley, AL, Hakeem Filmore and Raven Floyd of Birmingham, AL, Jalen Davis (Jazmyne) of Killeen, TX, Tamara Filmore of Greensboro, NC, De’Ontravious Abner (Kelsey) of Covington, GA, Devantae King, Tayshaun King and Donovan Floyd of Lafayette, AL.

Great nieces and nephews: Karmyn Broughton, Kennedy Jones, Kali Jones, Kinsley Whitlow, Kelani Whitlow, Kamillia Whitlow, Nylah Filmore, Jordynn, Jalynn Davis, Courtney Rudolph, and Collin Baker. She also leaves to cherish her memories, her aunt, Bell Todd and two uncles, Troy Leverette and Nolan Leverette Jr. of Lafayette, AL.

She leaves lifelong memories to her Baptist South-NICU co-workers of Montgomery, AL and her co-workers at University of Birmingham-NICU.
