LANETT- On Sunday, the Alabama/Georgia chapter of the Quilts of Valor Foundation held a special ceremony at Lanett First Baptist Church to honor Vietnam and Korean War veterans. Family and friends attended, proudly recognizing those who sacrificed so much and received so little from a regretful nation.
During the ceremony, the veterans expressed their gratitude to those who worked hard to create the quilts and paid tribute to the sacrifices they made.
Before the ceremony began, attendees enjoyed special entertainment from Brenley Faye, along with performances by 93-year-old Korean War veteran Durell Aplin.
The mission of the Quilts of Valor Foundation is to provide comforting and healing quilts to service members and veterans affected by war. One Nation, One Mission… That’s Quilts of Valor.
