The Valley Boys Baseball team defeated St. Anne-Pacelli 4-3 on Wednesday.

St. Anne-Pacelli took the lead in the top of the first inning when Jacob Veloz doubled to left field, scoring one run. They added another run in the second inning after Cam Carino doubled to center field.

Valley tied the game in the bottom of the third inning, thanks to a double by Mason Yarbrough, followed by a single from Logan Seymour and a walk issued to Cole House.

In the bottom of the fourth inning, a fielder’s choice by Yarbrough gave the Rams a 4-3 lead.

Kade Riley earned the win for Valley, as the right-handed pitcher allowed no hits and no runs over four innings, striking out one batter and walking five. Carter Dixon took the loss for St. Anne-Pacelli.

For Valley, McDonald, Yarbrough, Riley, Seymour, and Henry Leon each collected one hit. Yarbrough led the Rams with two RBIs. The team showed patience at the plate, totaling eight walks during the game.

Next up for Valley is a game against Callaway on Thursday.
