AUBURN-OPELIKA, Ala. — Auburn-Opelika Tourism’s Marketing and Communications team earned top honors at the 2026 Public Relations Council of Alabama (PRCA) Medallion Awards, receiving a Judges’ Choice Award and multiple Medallion Awards for its work in destination marketing.
Presented during PRCA’s annual conference in Mobile, March 18–20, the awards recognize the most impactful and innovative public relations campaigns across Alabama.
The award-winning work was led by Auburn-Opelika Tourism’s Marketing and Communications team, including Cat Bobo, director of marketing and communications; Travis Harrison, experience and marketing specialist; and Mari Lott, communications specialist.
“It’s meaningful to see our work recognized at the state level,” said Cat Bobo. “We care deeply about this place and this reflects a team that shows up every day with creativity and a real commitment to the work. None of it happens without the partners and community we’re proud to represent.”
The PRCA Medallion Awards honor outstanding public relations achievements, with entries evaluated by industry professionals based on innovation, effectiveness and measurable impact.
