The unbeaten Valley Rams rolled to the Area 7-AAAAA championship with a convincing 75-58 win over visiting Tallassee on Thursday night. The Rams (28-0) won their first area title since 2014, and they’ll host a state game on Tuesday as they begin their quest for a state title.
Junior Cam’ron Dooley led the Rams with 22 points, and he helped the team get off to a fast start with 13 points in the opening quarter as Valley surged to a 33-10 lead. Denali Dooley and Brandon Thomas added 13 points apiece, and Jamarious Martin added 10 points.
Dooley was the tournament MVP, and Jamarious Martin and Denali Dooley made the all-tournament team.
Rams Head Basketball Coach Marshon Harper and staff will now lead unbeaten Valley to the Sub Regionals in a quest for their first state championship.
