Opelika Parks and Recreation is hosting several Easter events during the week
leading up to the holiday.
Flashlight Egg Hunt
Thursday, April 2 | 7:30 p.m. | Opelika SportsPlex Amphitheater 3rd-5th graders, grab your flashlights and baskets for an egg hunt under the stars! Check your basket for a golden egg for the chance to win a cash prize.
Underwater Egg Hunt
Friday, April 3 | 6 p.m. | Opelika SportsPlex Pool Ages 6-10 can dive into the fun at this unique egg hunt. Weighted eggs will be scattered at different depths throughout the SportsPlex pool, with prizes for all participants. Registration ($5) is required by 3/30/26.
Easter on the Square
Saturday, April 4 | 10 a.m. | Courthouse Square
The area’s largest egg hunt welcomes kids 2nd grade and younger! Gather eggs,
candy and prizes, and visit with the Easter Bunny. Egg hunts will be held in waves by age group.
10 a.m.- Toddler egg hunt 10:30 a.m. – 4 year old-2nd grade egg hunts.
