OPELIKA, Ala. – The Opelika Police Department is requesting the public’s assistance in identifying a suspect involved in the fraudulent use of a credit/debit card following a recent vehicle burglary.

On March 7, 2026, Opelika Police officers responded to a residence in the 600 Block of 5th Avenue regarding an unlawful breaking of a vehicle and theft of property, third degree. The victim reported discovering the theft after receiving a notification from their bank regarding a fraudulent charge. Upon checking their property, the victim realized both of their vehicles had been rummaged through, and several items were missing.

During the investigation, surveillance footage was obtained showing a suspect using the stolen credit card at a business in Chambers County. The suspect is seen wearing a black tank top and red and black pajama bottoms.
