James D. Ryan Sr. of Auburn, Alabama, was born in Orlando, Florida, on September 30, 1947, and passed away at his home on March 17, 2026. He was 78 years old.
He is survived by his wife, Zonsaida “Tootsie” Ryan; daughter, Pamela Skipper; son, James D. Ryan Jr.; stepsons, Ramon R. Alaracon Jr., Ramon Donato Alarcon III; grandchildren, Damien, Megan, Brenna, Ansley, Gaia Danika Zizi, Inde Rei Zahara, Daniela Tootsie and Zonsaida Rose; sister, Ann Ward; nephews, Tony Ward, Dennis Ward, Mark Ward, Tyler Chadwick, Kenneth Wike, Richard Wike, Kevin Cooley; nieces, Dawn Chadwick, Debbie Mahon, Candace Wike, Vicky Johnson and Liza Cooley DeHaan.
Services for Mr. Ryan will be Friday, March 27, 2026 at Frederick-Dean Funeral Home. Lunch will be 11:00AM-12:30PM followed by visitation from 12:30PM-2:00PM, with a witness cremation directly following visitation.
