Ms. Desiria Deshonne Banks, 32 of Lanett, AL, passed away Sunday, March 8, 2026, at East Alabama Medical Center in Opelika, AL.
Public Viewing will be held on Monday, March 16, 2026, from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM CST at Silmon-Seroyer Funeral Home Chapel in LaFayette, AL.
Ms. Banks will lie in repose at the James Hardy Gym (Lanett Recreation Center) one hour before the funeral services.
Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, March 17, 2026, at 2:00 PM EST at the James Hardy Gym in Lanett, AL.
Burial will follow in Hillcrest Cemetery in Lanett, AL.
Desiria leaves to cherish her memories and love: her princess, A’niyah Hutchinson; mother Syliva (Marvin) Thompson; her sisters Madelyn (Eric) Snipes, Allison (Lydell) Banks-Trimble, Andreena Lynch, and Catherine Banks; and her stepbrother and stepsister whom she loved as her own, Marvin A. Thompson and Shirley Thompson; her nieces and nephews: Tatyana (Jamario) Banks-Bailey, Antrineshia Banks, Alyric Wright, Davontae Lynch, Benquaveus Banks, Alicia Porter, Javoris Sharpe, Zy’Rhiana Porter, Donivan Banks, Zachary Banks, and Alyssa Trimble; a great niece and nephew Nola and Jahseh Bailey; her aunts and uncles: Michael (Kathy) Lynch, Gwendolyn Lynch, Randy Lynch, Timothy (Priscilla) Lynch, Linda Holmes, and Desiria Y. Banks; great-aunts, Linda Davidson, Jessica Brown, and Dorothy Holley, a host of cousins and special friends.
