Reverend Karanja Story, 45, passed away Friday, March 6, 2026, at Baptist Medical Center – South, Montgomery, AL.
Public Visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 11, 2026, from 4:00 PM EST until 7:00 PM EST at Rehoboth Baptist Church, Valley, AL, with a short musical celebratory program at 6:00 PM EST.
Reverend Story will lie in state at the church one hour prior to the funeral service.
Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, March 12, 2026, 12:00 PM CST/1:00 PM EST at Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church, Lafayette, AL. Reverend Michael T. Stiggers, Pastor/Eulogist. Reverend Gretchen Holloway, Officiating.
Interment will follow the funeral service at Pine Hill Cemetery, Lanett, AL.
He leaves to cherish his loving memory: his devoted wife, Kendra L. Story; his children, VaKiya S. Story, Kameiyah J. Story, Kenyah L. Story, Kaleyah J. Story, Khasen J. Story, and Jordan A. Buchanan; his parents, Deacon Henry L. (Sonya) Story Jr. and Cynthia L. Story; his sisters, Dr. Lakesha T. Story, Dr. Latesha J. Walker, Sondria S. Story, and Kala (Terron) Story; and a host of relatives, family, and friends.
