May 14, 1939 ~ February 28, 2026 (age 86)
Olen Lee Tittle, known affectionately as Bo by his family and friends, left this world peacefully on February 28, 2026, in Opelika, Alabama, at the venerable age of 86 years. Born on May 14, 1939, in Cusseta, Alabama, Olen carried with him through life the warmth and down-to-earth spirit that defined his roots.
A man of profound love and kindness, Olen was a beacon of faith and strength to all who knew him. His abiding love for family was the cornerstone of his existence and remained the source of his greatest joys and pride throughout his lifetime. His cherished wife of 66 years, Mildred Tittle, was his steadfast partner in every moment of their long life together. Their union was a testament to enduring love and unwavering commitment.
Olen’s legacy further lives on through his devoted children, Pam (Mark) Ennis, Barbie (Jerry Lee) Newborn, and Ricky Tittle, who he raised with love and imbued with values of kindness and respect. His siblings, Charlie, Gene, and Joe Tittle, will continue to carry the memories of their brother with a blend of sorrow and smiles for the times they shared.
His role as a grandfather was one Olen embraced with open arms and was affectionally known as “Pop” to all the grandchildren. Grandchildren Misty Jenkins, Jeremy (Cassie) Gordon, Josh (Candis) Tittle-Newborn, Brooke (Kamal) Aadil, and Lindsey (Bradley) Webb will fondly remember his wisdom, laughter, and the innumerable life lessons he passed down. To his great-grandchildren, Dakota, Malea, Jacob, Noah, Nevaeh, Robbie, Lilly, Brayden, Kayden, Travis, Asher, and Keirra, and great-great-grandchildren, Carter and Elijah, Olen was a living example of the power of love and the beauty of family heritage.
Olen’s journey in life was also shaped by those who preceded him in death. His posture of empathy and comprehension of loss were deepened by the passing of his parents Curt and Wilma Tittle, sisters, Betty Carlisle and Faye Beaulieu, brothers, Art Tittle, Tony Tittle, Bobby Tittle, and Roy Tittle, along with his beloved granddaughter Kristina Newborn, and grandson Keith Jenkins.
Olen’s life was marked by a spirit of giving, a faith-filled heart, and a kind demeanor that resonated with all who crossed his path. His interests, though varied, were always anchored in the love and well-being of his family.
Let us remember Olen Lee “Bo” Tittle as a man who walked this earth with an open heart, ready to love and be loved, who found joy in the simple pleasures of life, and whose legacy is inscribed in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know him. His passage from this life is not an ending, but a continuation of the faith and love he nurtured so tenderly in this world.
Olen’s life, a tapestry woven with threads of devotion, kindness, and virtue, will be celebrated in the stories retold by his family and encircled in the countless lives he touched. He will be dearly missed, yet his spirit will continue to guide and inspire us all.
