Mary Lou Norred of Opelika, Alabama, passed away at her home on Tuesday, February 24, 2026. She was 88 years old.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Gerald Norred; daughter, Linda Hawkins; sons, Terry Buckner, Perry Stringfellow, and Jamie Norred.
Mary Lou is survived by her children: Nola Coshatt (Whitey), Ronnie Buckner, JoAnn Childs (Gillis), Cathy McDonald, and Randy Aston; nineteen grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and other family members.
Visitation will be held in the Parlor at Frederick-Dean Funeral Home on Monday, March 2, 2026, from 1:00 PM-1:50 PM, with a service to follow at 2:00 PM in the Chapel with Reverend Ronnie Tielking officiating. Interment will be at Garden Hill Cemetery.
