Larry Lee Quinton, 81, of Valley, Alabama, passed away, Saturday, February 14, 2026, in Opelika, Alabama.
He was born to the late Beatrice Moody Quinton and Kinnie Conwell Quinton in West Point, Georgia, on September 5, 1944. Larry was a United States Marine Veteran serving in Vietnam from 1966 until 1967, under the late General Bruno A. Hochmuth.
After time served in the military, he worked 33 years as a mail carrier for the United States Postal Service. He also worked for the mail services department at Auburn University for 4 years.
Larry is preceded in death by his parents as well as his aunts, Ethel V. Moody and Alma M. Earles, uncles, Albert Lee Simmons, grandparents, Pearl and Barto Moody and Susie and David Quinton.
Survivors include, wife of 42 years, Martha B. Quinton, sons, Steven Quinton (Tracy) and Joseph Quinton (Robin), daughters, Catherine Q. Gibb (Jon) and Rebecca Quinton, grandchildren, Auburn McDaniel (Derek), Courtney Quinton (Jewellynn), Jaime Damiano (Tyler), Morgan Wiggins(Sean), Dallas Quinton (Brittany), Samantha Quinton, Trey Lowe-Bowman (Chealse), Hayden Quinton (Emily) and, J.T. Gibb, Max Gibb, great-grandchildren, August, Lawson, Ridge, Hudson, Stella, Baby Damiano, Anniston, Riley, Bentley, brother, Drew Quinton (Carol), nephew, Rodney D. Quinton, niece, Wendy Q. Patterson (Jeff).
Funeral services for Larry will be held, Saturday, February 21, 2026, Calvary Community Church, at 2:30 P.M. (EST)
Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service on Saturday, from 1:30 P.M. (EST) until 2:30 P.M. (EST)
Interment will be held at Fairfax Cemetery, immediately after the service.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made to Calvary Community Church, P.O. Box 55, Valley, Alabama, 36854-0055.
