Lady Rams 3 Peat as Area Champs

BASKETBALL: It’s a three-peat for the Valley Lady Rams.

Valley outlasted Beauregard 53-46 on Tuesday night to win a third consecutive Area 5-A championship.
Kayden Dooley, who has been a star player for Valley since her freshman season and was the tournament MVP, led the team in scoring with 24 points, and she had 13 points in the fourth quarter while making six straight free throws down the stretch.

Jamiah Johnson added 16 points while making three big 3-pointers, and K’leigha Kyles scored six points.

Valley will host Holtville in the sub-regional round of the state tournament on Friday.
