1961 — 2026
Tracy “Todd” Huddleston, 65, of Union, Ala. met his Savior face-to-face on February 9, 2026. Surrounded by family, he passed away at Bethany House in Auburn, Ala., following an 11-month battle with cancer.
Born in 1961, Todd was raised in Lanett, Ala. and was a 1979 graduate of Lanett High School. He went on to Auburn University, where in 1982, he met Jeanie Kaye Turner when they had lunch together on top of Haley Center on the AU campus, and the couple married a year later. At Auburn, Todd majored in personnel management and industrial relations and graduated with his business degree in 1985.
Todd worked for Uniroyal in Opelika for 28 years until the company closed their Opelika operations. He then worked for First Baptist Church of Opelika for 12 years, where he was also a member for 37 years. At First Baptist, he served as a deacon and chairman of the building and grounds committee. When Todd and Kaye moved to Union, they joined Beulah Baptist Church in Dadeville, Ala.
Todd was a faithful follower of Jesus, and a devoted husband, father, son, brother and friend. He had a great sense of humor, was a hard-worker, always reliable and kind, but strong, and very protective of those he loved.
He was most at peace when he was outdoors and was an avid hunter (turkey hunting was his favorite). He also enjoyed hiking, rafting, working in his yard, and making constant renovations and additions to the 100-year-old family home he and Kaye restored.
Todd is survived by Kaye, his beloved wife of 42 years; his parents, William Warner and Lynda Maxine Huddleston of Dadeville; three children: Meagan Nicole (Ryan) Powell of Florida., Katie Amanda (Brandon) Mushunje of Mozambique, Africa, and William Turner (Carly) Huddleston, PharmD of Birmingham, Ala.; sister Staci Lyn (Mike) McCullers of Dadeville; 10 grandchildren (number 11 due this summer); and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, February 13, 2026, from 9-11 a.m. CT at Beulah Baptist Church in Dadeville, followed by a Celebration of Life service at 11 a.m.
For those wishing to make a financial contribution in Todd’s honor, the family suggests Beulah Baptist Church (5891 Lovelady Rd., Dadeville, Ala. 36853) or Pilots for Christ (pilotsforchrist.net/support or 107 Airport Rd., Monroeville, Ala. 36460).
