VALLEY – On Monday, the Chambers County Development Authority hosted the 2nd Annual County-wide Student Career Expo at the Valley Community Center. The event began at 9:00 AM EST and continued through lunch.

Students from LaFayette High School, Lanett High School, Springwood School, Valley High School, and W.F. Burns Middle School received valuable exposure to a wide range of career pathways.

Today, we are hosting a student and career expo to connect students with the military, colleges, and various career opportunities in manufacturing, healthcare, and businesses. We also have utility partners represented, including county government, law enforcement, media, and restaurants,” said Andie Chambley, Project Manager of the Chambers County Development Authority.

“This event would not have been possible without the support of our many community partners, especially the career coaches at each participating school. We extend a special thank you to Valley Parks and Recreation and their staff for allowing us to use their facilities and for being a pleasure to work with.

We look forward to hosting more events like this as we continue preparing our youth for the workforce”, said the CCDA in a social media post.
