February 27, 1954 ~ January 23, 2026 (age 71)

Nancy Duke Anderson, 71, joined her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on January 23, 2026.

She was born on February 27, 1954, to Dedrick and Audrey Duke in LaGrange, GA. She had two siblings, Susan Duke Davis and Dedrick Mark Duke.

Nancy married the love of her life and best friend, William (Bill) Edward Anderson, on September 13, 1980, in Pine Mountain, GA. They have loved and supported each other for 45 years in marriage. She loved to cook for Bill and made sure he had his favorites like homemade biscuits, cakes, or cookies. He never left her side without giving her a kiss and telling her he loved her. There was never a question of their love for one another.

They raised and nurtured two daughters, Emily (Nick) Pike and Merri (Jeremy) Earl. Both girls inherited the gift to talk and care for others from their mom. She was a prime example of being kind, showing patience, and giving grace throughout their life. She provided a sounding board with no judgement and only love for them each and every day. She was a mom that gave space for them to grow but guide them along the way even in their adult life. Always just a phone call away.

Of all the responsibilities she had throughout her lifetime, she served the most honored and rewarding title known as “Nana” for the past 17 years. She loved all her babies with every ounce of who she was. Meredith, Jaxon, Cooper, Benton, and Maci were the light of her life. She would do anything and everything for her grandkids. No adventure she wasn’t ready for, no racoon she wouldn’t skin, no shopping trip she wouldn’t turn down, no homework assignment she wouldn’t sit through, no tumbling trick she wouldn’t watch, no road she wouldn’t travel…that’s the Nana she was. She was loved big and loved back bigger!

The only thing she loved more than her family was her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. It was nothing for her to stop someone she didn’t even know and ask them if they knew Jesus and ask if she could pray for them. Her faith was not just seen or heard but it could be felt by those she was around. She was a true prayer warrior for her family and her friends.

She was survived by her devoted husband, William (Bill) Anderson; daughters, Emily (Nick)Pike and Merri (Jeremy) Earl; grandchildren, Meredith Pike, Jaxon Earl, Cooper Earl, Benton Earl, and Maci Pike; mother-in-law, Kathleen Mobley; sister, Susan Davis and brother-in-law, Bobby (DeeDee) Anderson; with a niece and nephews and beloved friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Dedrick (Dud) and Audrey Duke; sibling, Dedrick (Mark) Duke.

A memorial service in remembrance of Nancy will be held at First Christian Church of Lanett on Thursday, February 5, 2026, at 3:00 PM (EST).  The Reverends Brad Reed, Mark McGee, and Steve Stringer will officiate.
